Camouflaged by the sleek black band wrapping around the hull of the Oceanis Yacht 62 is a long line of large port light windows, combine this with the wraparound coachroof port lights and the spacious interior is flooded with natural light, making for a very scenic interior.
DESIGN
With not-so-subtle borrowings of Italian style we clearly see the collaboration of Berret Racoupeau and the Italian designer Pierangeli Andreani, not to mention the fact the that the new sailing director at Beneteau, Gianguido Girotti, is also from Italy. Girotti spoke about the design of the new Beneteau Oceanis 62 – “In order to explore something beyond what we are currently doing, we went to a powerboat designer to find something new.”
What do we think?
The Oceanis Yacht 62 is the latest and largest development within the hugely successful sail boat range from Beneteau. She will remain true to the Oceanis values of being a beautiful boat to sail, her hull shape providing greater stability and the intelligent deck layout ensuring an easy boat to sail whether short handed or with a full crew.
Being an Oceanis, the Yacht 62 interior is spacious and luxurious in equal measure. The quality of the finish will be worthy of her position as the flagship of the Beneteau sail boat range.
